Dan is working on his third year with Microsoft.  Prior to coming to the Microsoft Across America team, he worked as a Technical Account Manager for a large insurance firm in Bloomington, Illinois (where he still resides).  He’s been working with technology for over 10 years now, having served his time in the seemingly mandatory roles of helpdesk technician and network administrator.  Immediately prior to joining Microsoft, he developed an entirely new process for rolling out bundled software updates to all of the 180,000 workstations in his organization.

When he isn’t working, you can find Dan hanging out with his cat, George, or riding his motorcycle (a Yamaha V-Star 1100).  He is an avid (or maybe rabid would be a better word) fan of too many television shows (including Chuck, Law & Order, Pushing Daisies, Bones, Family Guy, South Park, Desperate Housewives, Reaper, and The Shield).  He enjoys video games as well, especially the Age of Empire series from Microsoft.  When he isn’t enjoying any of these pastimes, you can find him Scuba-Shark-Para-Kite-Surfing, which is an activity he made up especially for these bios to make himself sound like he has some really cool, exciting hobbies.
